This is a good area for walleye fishing.  All the main lakes have walleye and there are good numbers of them if you know how to target them.  In the clearer water up here, you need to fish deeper and you have to take advantage of the early morning and late evening peak feeding periods.  There are lots of rocks and weeds in the area lakes.  At times, there are a lot of walleye relating to the weeds and most anglers won’t target the weeds.  Fish the weed edges with lively minnows and a weedless finesse jig and you can put some nice fish in the boat.  The rocks will always hold some walleye too, so don’t rule out the typical rock spots either.
