South Fork, Colorado is a small town that is known for its outdoor recreation. There are just enough accommodations, restaurants and shops to make this town a great base camp for your outdoor adventure. Anglers come here to fish the Rio Grande River. The 20 miles stretch between South Fork and Del Norte is considered Gold Medal Waters. Float trips are popular on the river for rainbow trout, brown trout and brook trout. There are plenty of other waters to fish here as well with a few reservoirs within a short car ride and some creeks that offer good trout fishing.
