The Long Island Sound is an estuary of the Atlantic Ocean that is located in between Connecticut (to the north) and Long Island, New York (to the south). This area provides some very good saltwater fishing for striped bass, bluefish, flounder, black sea bass and more. There are a bunch of coastal towns along Connecticut’s coastline that gives anglers access to the Long Island Sound. Whether you are fishing from the surf, a pier or from a boat, there is some very good saltwater fishing in Connecticut’s waters.
