Jupiter, Florida is one of the most beautiful places to visit in all of Florida. The beaches are nice, the homes are beautiful and there is so much to do here. Whether you plan on fishing, boating, hanging out at the beach or just enjoying the sights in the area, you will find something to do. You also won’t find the crowds here that you will find in some of the other popular Florida destinations, but there is still plenty here such as restaurants, hotels and service businesses.
You can find plenty of mangroves in this area in the Indian River Lagoon and up into the Loxahatchee River that hold good numbers of snook. The Jupiter Inlet also offers excellent fishing during the tidal changes. The Juno Beach Fishing Pier is also worth checking out, especially if you don’t have a boat. Offshore, anglers have it made here since the Gulf Stream is only a few miles from shore.

Jupiter, Florida Inshore Fishing
The inshore fishing is excellent in the Jupiter area. The Jupiter Inlet, Loxahatchee River and the Indian River Lagoon offer anglers so much water to fish for a variety of different species of fish. Snook get most of the attention inshore down here, but you may also catch some tarpon, sheepshead, ladyfish, pompano, jack crevalle, black drum and others. This area has an abundance of mangrove-lined shorelines, docks, bridges, creeks, islands and one of the best inlets to fish in all of Florida.

Jupiter, Florida Nearshore Fishing
This area is very unique since the Gulf Stream waters are so close to the Jupiter Inlet. Excellent sport fishing starts so close to shore here that you can catch so many awesome species of fish even if you’re still in nearshore waters. The usual nearshore fish are available such as tarpon, cobia, sharks, jacks, mackerel and more. Mix in some mahi mahi that venture a little too close to shore and you have some really awesome opportunities in this area.

Jupiter, Florida Deep Sea / Offshore Fishing
The Gulf Stream waters are super close to the Jupiter Inlet. At times, the Gulf Stream is just a few miles out, so you can be in some really good fishing waters very quickly when fishing out of Jupiter. Anglers target a variety of pelagic species such as sailfish, marlin, tuna, mahi mahi and wahoo. Anglers also fish the reefs and wrecks in the offshore waters around Jupiter, Florida.

Jupiter, Florida Shore Fishing
Pier Fishing
This area has some excellent fishing opportunities from the surf and pier. The Juno Beach Fishing Pier attracts many anglers and the fishing can be very good off the pier. You can catch a variety of different fish from the pier such as snook, sheepshead, cobia, sharks, kingfish, pompano, Spanish mackerel, amberjack, whiting, pompano and others.
For anglers looking to do some jetty fishing, the Jupiter Inlet offers some excellent fishing for snook and many different species of fish. You can fish the inlet 24 hours from the jetty and night fishing is popular here because snook can be a lot easier to catch at night.
Surf Fishing
From the surf, anglers can catch many different species of fish, but when the pompano are running, they get most of the attention. Whiting, snook and spanish mackerel are also popular from the surf. There are several other species of fish that you can catch on the beaches in the Jupiter area.
