Welcome to our Park Rapids, MN Fishing Home Page

Park Rapids, Minnesota is just under 30 miles from Walker, Minnesota and the south part of Leech Lake.  This area is a popular tourist destination with tons of lakes, numerous resorts and excellent fishing opportunities.

Primary Species of Fish

Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye

This area is home to many lakes and there is some very good fishing for a variety of fish.  Most anglers target walleye and northern pike here, but the largemouth bass fishing can be very good too for those of you who choose to target them.  You have so many options with so many lakes that it’s going to be tough for many people to choose which lake to start on.  Whatever you choose, you should be able to catch some fish.

Secondary Species of Fish

Muskie, Smallmouth Bass, Perch, Crappie, Bluegill

Muskie and smallmouth bass are secondary in this area, but you can find some of these fish here.   Perch, bluegill and crappie can be found throughout the area lakes.  Depending on the lake and the year, you should be able to find some cleanable fish, but plan on sorting through several smallers ones to find the eaters.
