Frankfort, Michigan is a small town located within Benzie County. The city sits on the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Betsie River. This area has some beautiful scenery with sandy beaches, high bluffs, some clean lakes inland and natural rivers.
Salmon & Trout Fishing
Salmon and trout are primary here. Many fishing charters call Frankfort their home port and there is a reason for that. The salmon and trout fishing can be very good in this part of Lake Michigan from spring through fall.
Inland Lakes
There are many inland lakes here that offer a variety of fishing opportunities. There are so many species of fish to catch such as trout, walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass and panfish.
