Perch Fishing

Anglers target perch on Lake Michigan, Muskegon Lake and White Lake in this area.  The perch fishing on Lake Michigan can be good, but you have to find them.  Most anglers report better success offshore when targeting perch.

Muskegon Lake

Muskegon Lake offers good fishing for a variety of fish.  Walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass are the game fish that anglers target throughout the season.  Salmon and trout do move into the lake seasonally and anglers can target these fish without having to use the big boats that anglers need for Lake Michigan’s rougher waters.  Panfish such as perch, rock bass and bluegill are available too.
