Welcome to our Yampa River Fishing Home Page

The Yampa River begins in the Rocky Mountains near Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and flows 250 miles west to Echo Park, Utah, where it eventually meets up with the Green River.  One of the more popular spots to fish on this river is from between Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Craig, Montana.  The rainbow trout fishery is very good with good numbers of them and some big fish too.  There is a fishable brown trout population.  Depending what part of the river you are fishing, you may also catch northern pike, smallmouth bass, catfish and more.
