Welcome to our Provo, Utah Fishing Home Page

Provo is a city that lies about 40 to 45 minutes south of the airport in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Provo is home to Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University, so this is definitely a college town, however, it is a really nice college town with so many options for restaurants, shops, lodging and more.  Combine all of that with some very good fishing nearby and you have a nice destination for the family to do a little bit of everything.

For the anglers, the Provo River is the big draw here.  Just a short drive outside of town, anglers have access to many spots along the river.  Many of these fishing spots will draw some interest from other anglers, so you may not find too many spots with no people, but there is plenty of room for anglers to find a good stretch of water to fish. The lower part of the Provo River is known for its large abundance of rainbow and brown trout.  Some large fish are caught in the river, but there are a lot of smaller fish so plan on getting some action if you know what you are doing and conditions are right.
