Miracle Mile

The Miracle Mile is referred to as “The Mile” to locals and it is actually a 7 mile long tailwater section of the North Platte River.  This part of the river gets consistent cold water from Seminoe Reservoir, which is located above this river.  The Miracle Mile is home to some excellent fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout.  Throughout most of the year, it is more of a quality fishery versus huge numbers of fish, however, the spring and fall push larger numbers of fish into the river system.  In the spring, more rainbow trout move into the river to spawn and in the fall, more brown trout move into the river for their annual spawn.  The river does hold a good amount of fish year round and you are usually going to find some very nice-sized trout on average.
