The Glacial Lakes region is a popular area in South Dakota that is home to many good fishing lakes. Some of the most popular lakes to fish here are Waubay Lake, Rush Lake, Enemy Swim Lake, Roy Lake, the Lynn Lake area, Blue Dog Lake, Big Stone Lake, Bitter Lake. Walleye are the primary species of fish that most anglers enjoy fishing for on the lakes in the area, however, if you just want some action, the white bass fishing can be outstanding. The smallmouth bass and largemouth bass fishing can also be very good on many of the lakes in the area. The panfish bite can be hit or miss depending where you fish, but perch, crappie, bluegill and other sunfish are available in the area waters.
