Candlewood Lake Fishing

Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut and it is bordered by five towns: Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford and Sherman. This lake is known as a good bass fishing lake with largemouth bass and smallmouth bass. There are also catfish, crappie, perch and several species of trout in this lake.

Housatonic River

Housatonic River Fishing

The Housatonic River is approximately 149 miles long and it is found in western Massachusetts and Connecticut.  It flows south to southeast and drains into the Long Island Sound.  Fishing is very popular along the entire length of the river and its tributaries.  Some parts of the river will make you feel like you are in the western United States on an amazing trout river.  Other parts of the river are better for smallmouth bass and northern pike.  As you get closer to the Long Island Sound, the striped bass fishery can be awesome.
