Deadsticking can be effective, but most anglers won’t deadstick for very long to get their bites. Letting a bait sit for 30 to 60 seconds is a good way to get finicky fish to bite. Wacky worms and floating worms are good baits to use the deadstick technique with. Let the bait sit for a while, then move it to the next spot and try it again. It takes a lot of patience, but it does work.
