Jerkbaits are great lures for catching spotted bass. You can target suspended bass over deeper water or just jerk these lures over the shallows to look for bass moving in to feed on bait fish. However you choose to fish them, they definitely work and will often catch some nice bass.
Hard Jerkbaits
Hard jerkbaits are super effective for targeting spots. There are so many good ones on the market made by several different manufacturers.
Soft Jerkbaits
Soft Plastic Minnows in the 3 to 4 inch range are perfect for the smaller mouths of spotted bass. However, some of the bigger 5 to 6 inch jerkbaits work great too. Fish them weightless in the shallows or with your favorite soft plastic rig for fishing deeper water.
