Swimming Worms

Swimming Worms are becoming more popular as newer worms have made their way to the market recently.  These worms are a nice option for anglers who enjoy swimming curly grubs and ringworms for smallmouth bass.  These swimming worms are a little thicker and longer, which make them a similar bait, but it does appeal to larger smallmouth bass more consistently than the other baits.

What Sizes are Best for Smallmouth Bass Fishing?

There aren’t too many swimming worms on the market, so you kind of get what you can get your hands on.  However, there are some nice worms in the 4 to 5 inch range that are perfect for targeting smallmouth bass.

How to Rig Swimming Worms

You can use a variety of different jigheads to go along with swimbait hooks to rig these swimming worms.  Some anglers prefer to Texas rig them.  You can use many different rigs, but you don’t need to use many different rigs for these baits.
