Virginia Beach is the most populous city in all of Virginia with more than 430,000 people. Smith Mountain Lake
Smith Mountain Lake is a very large artificial lake that is located southeast of Roanoke, Virginia. With over 20,000 acres of water and more than 500 miles of shoreline, this lake is a water lover’s paradise. Boating and fishing are very popular on the lake. Fishermen target many species, but many of the anglers come here for the striped bass. You can catch good numbers of them and some big ones too.
