Dams and spillways can be prime spots for targeting muskie. Moving water and abundant bait fish can make a dam or spillway a must fish spot in most rivers or lakes. The rotating pools and constant flowing water cause fish to move in numbers. With constant food in the area the muskie will find it hard to say no. Fish a dam or spillway in the early morning or evening. Always remember to figure-eight and change your speeds of retrieval to give different presentations that could appeal to a muskie nearby. Keep casting and stay positive the fish of a thousand casts is always near.
