The smallmouth bass fishing is much better on this lake, but if you are fishing the docks and weeds on this lake, there is a good chance that you may end up catching some largemouth bass. Most anglers catch largemouth bass on accident here while fishing for other species of fish.

Largemouth bass are often found closer to the shorelines here. With the pike and muskie in this lake, largemouth bass will usually not venture out into the deeper waters as much due to the fear of being eaten. Fish the weeds closer to shore and you’ll have better success if you are trying to catch some of them. You are much better off targeting smallmouth bass though if you come here since this is one of the best smallmouth bass lakes in the country.
