The Hackensack does have some smallmouth bass lakes to fish. Most of the lakes in this area have northern pike, largemouth bass, walleye and panfish in them, but there are a few lakes to fish that do have smallmouth bass in them. Portage Lake, Pleasant Lake, Man Lake, Baby Lake and Ten Mile Lake are the lakes to fish if you want to target smallmouth bass.
