Many of the lakes in this area have panfish in them. You should be able to catch crappie, perch and bluegill in most of the lakes that you will fish up here. Leech Lake is also nearby and because of its size, you can definitely find much larger numbers of keeper-sized panfish in that lake compared to the smaller lakes in the Hackensack area.
