Largemouth bass are in the Ely area in low numbers. If you are looking to target bass here, smallmouth bass should be the species of bass to target as many of the lakes are full of them. Largemouth bass are common here though in many of the inland lakes with weeds. Fish the weedy areas and make sure you use at least a 40 pound fluorocarbon leader because there will most likely be more pike around than largemouth bass.
