Fishing Perrault Falls, Ontario in the Spring

Month Avg. Air Temps °F (Hi/Lo)
March 32° / 11°
April 47° / 26°
May 59° / 38°

In the spring, the fishing can be outstanding here.  You still have some cold weather for the first couple of weeks of the fishing season, so don’t be shocked if you have 70 degree weather as well as a cold front that could even bring snow flurries.  The walleye and pike fishing is what most people target early in the season, but don’t forget about the perch and crappie too.  As water temperatures start to warm towards the end of May, the smallmouth bass fishing starts to get really good as well.

Fishing Perrault Falls, Ontario in the Summer

Month Avg. Air Temps °F (Hi/Lo)
June 70° / 50°
July 76° / 55°
August 73° / 54°

In the summer, many people enjoy the Perrault Falls, Ontario area lakes.  Early summer provides a lot of good fishing in shallower water, but once we get into late June and early July, the summer patterns start to set in for all species of fish.  Plan on fishing deeper, especially on the clear water lakes all the way through August for the best success.  Don’t forget about the muskie opener either.  Many people come here just for the muskie fishing on Cedar Lake.

Fishing Perrault Falls, Ontario in the Fall

Month Avg. Air Temps °F (Hi/Lo)
September 63° / 46°
October 47° / 34°
November 31° / 19°

The fall is a great time to plan a trip to this area.  As air and water temperatures cool down, the summer traffic is gone as well.  You will still see plenty of boats throughout the early part of the fall, but it won’t be as crowded as the summer peak season.  Many anglers will report better success in shallower water than the summer time on the area lakes, but the deep water bite will usually hold strong throughout the fall as well.  The fall is a great time to target walleye, big pike, smallmouth bass, muskie, perch and crappie.
