The morning usually provides a peak bite for muskie. The only exception might be in the spring time when water temperatures are cooler. In the spring, there may be a better bite in the afternoon or evening as water temperatures warm up. However, for the majority of the open water fishing season, you really can’t go wrong by starting your day of muskie fishing in the morning. From late spring through early fall, there is almost always a peak bite in the morning.
