Sturgeon Lake is home to some amazing walleye fishing. It is a big lake, so you may have to move around a bit to find the better spots, but once you have them dialed in, you can catch a lot of walleye. Anglers report 100 walleye per boat in a day pretty frequently on Sturgeon Lake and there are some giant walleye here too.

Press Lake
Press Lake is a large lake with more than 70 miles of shoreline, tons of bays, points, islands and more. With only one camp on this lake, you will have access to a lot of water all to yourself. Anglers enjoy excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass.
Savant Lake
Savant Lake is a huge lake with some awesome fishing available. It does not have public access so you need to fly in or one of the resorts has a drive-in service with a special off-road vehicle and trailer to get your group and your gear to the camp.
If you get to spend some time on this lake, you should enjoy it. There are huge numbers of fish in it, so once you figure out the better spots, you can catch a lot of fish. Anglers report 100 fish days per boat here quite frequently. On bad weather days, this lake can really get rough, however, there are plenty of places to get out of the rough water and still fish. With more than 400 miles of shoreline, depths down to 200 feet, tons of islands, so many bays and feeder streams flowing in and out, you have an outstanding fishery for northern pike, walleye and lake trout.
Watcomb Lake
Watcomb Lake is a good-sized lake that offers good fishing for a variety of fish. Most anglers come here for the walleye fishing, but you can also catch perch, lots of smallmouth bass and some big northern pike.

Wintering Lake
Wintering Lake is a decent-sized lake that offers good fishing for walleye, northern pike and perch. It is a good numbers lake with some big fish potential too.
Young Lake
Young Lake has one camp on the lake and it offers access to some very good fishing. Anglers catch walleye, northern pike and smallmouth bass. There are good numbers of fish with some big fish potential too.
Best Baits for Walleye
Walleye eat a variety of different baits, however, when push comes to shove, it is much easier to catch them with live baits. Minnows, nightcrawlers and leeches are definitely the best live baits for walleye.
While most anglers will just use live baits, many anglers will also target walleye with lures as well. Crankbaits and soft plastics are the best lures for walleye, however, you can catch walleye with a variety of different lures.
