This is such a great bottom rig. Use it when the fish are shallow or deep. It works great.
The drop shot rig is popular for catching sea bass when they aren’t super deep. However, when the fish are down deep, just add some heavier weights to get your baits down there.
Jigheads work great for soft plastics and live baits. Make sure it is heavy enough to get down to the bottom and you should do well fish a simple jighead.
When sea bass are fairly shallow, a split shot rig can be a great way to present a variety of baits.
