Barracuda are found in the Key West area year round and there are plenty of charters available that fish for them. Barracuda are common around the nearshore and offshore reefs, wrecks and hard bottom structure, however, in this area, you can catch them on the flats in shallow water. The flats bite is usually better in the winter months through early spring as water temperatures are a little cooler.
