Key Largo, FL Inshore Fishing
There are some awesome flats and backcountry areas to fish on the bay side of Key Largo. Anglers have so many options and there are several fishing charters available that can help put you on a variety of fish. Typically, anglers will target snook, redfish, tarpon, permit, sharks, barracuda, jacks, snapper and sea trout, but there are many other species of fish here to target as well.

Key Largo, FL Backcountry Fishing
The backcountry areas will seem endless as there are miles and miles or areas to fish in the backcountry in the Key Largo area. Some anglers will stay right around Key Largo to fish the mangroves while others will take the longer boat runs to go fish around the Everglades National Park. You have lots of options here for this type of fishing. Anglers will target redfish, sea trout, tarpon, snook, snapper and many other species of fish in the backcountry waters in the Key Largo area.
Key Largo, FL Bay Fishing
The bay provides anglers with some excellent fishing year-round. While many anglers will go out in the bay to find those awesome backcountry areas with all the mangroves, there are plenty of fish just swimming around through the open waters of the bay as well. In the bay, anglers will be targeting the grass flats, potholes nearby the grass flats, along the channels and anywhere they can find schooling birds feeding on schools of bait fish. Having good electronics will also help anglers find good spots to fish. Some of the popular fish to target in the bay are redfish, sea trout, barracuda, snook, tarpon, snapper, grouper and other species too.

There are some awesome flats areas to fish in Key Largo. Whether you are hiring a fishing charter or doing it yourself, you will find so much water here to target fish on the flats. Some of the popular flats species are bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, sea trout, redfish, mangrove snapper and others.
Key Largo, FL Deep Sea / Offshore Fishing
The deep sea fishing is awesome around the Key Largo area. You have plenty of options with so many excellent reef and wreck areas to fish to go along with some awesome fishing for the pelagic species as well. There are many fishing charters available and some of the popular fish that you can catch here are mahi mahi, sailfish, wahoo, several species of tuna, marlin, amberjack, kingfish, hogfish, grouper, snapper, cobia, sharks and barracuda. These are just some of the fish that you can target in the offshore waters around Key Largo.
