Bowden Lake

Bowden Lake is the biggest of these 3 lakes.  You may be able to get in through the stream that connects these lakes.  If the water is low or your boat too big, you won’t be able to get through here due to the shallow water and rocks.  There was a resort on this lake that provided access to its guests, but that is no longer the case.  If the water is too low in this stream, you won’t be able to access Bowden Lake, but you could still fish Square Lake.

Bowden Lake is the best lake of these 3 lakes.  It has good numbers of northern pike, smallmouth bass and walleye with quality fish too.  You have points, islands, rocks, weeds and bays to fish.  It’s a nice lake to fish with minimal fishing pressure.

Walleye & Pike Fishing

Luke and I fished this lake for a couple of days and we caught around 40 fish each day with about half being smallmouth bass and the other half would be northern pike and walleye.

In the video, you will see a sample of some of the walleye and pike we caught on our trip.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing

The smallmouth bass fishing was very good in this lake.  If this lake wasn’t so hard to get into, we would have fished it a lot more on our trip.  We averaged about 20 smallmouth bass each day, but we only fished it for a half day and we were limited to one section of the lake since our trolling motor doesn’t push our inflatable boat very fast.

In the video below, you will see just a sample of the bass fishing in this lake.
