Tarpon Fishing in the Everglades City, Florida Area
While you may be able to catch some tarpon year round, the migratory tarpon will be providing the best fishing opportunities in this area. The spring through early summer brings large numbers of migratory tarpon through these waters. The biggest fish tend to show up first with March and April being the best times to find huge tarpon. Smaller tarpon will be found in the bays and creeks year round, so if you want to catch a tarpon, there will be some here to target no matter when you come down to visit.

While many anglers may run into smaller tarpon and catch them without much effort, to consistently target bigger tarpon, you need to make sure you have the right tackle & equipment so things go your way.
