White Catfish

White catfish, also known as forked-tail catfish, are not as common as channel catfish, but they are fairly popular among the catfishing community.  White Catfish are usually found in slow-moving streams, river backwaters, reservoirs and ponds. They will tolerate a siltier bottom and higher salinity, and prefer water temperatures in the mid to lower 80s.  They can be caught on the the same baits that you would use for channel catfish.
