Fish Shallow
Bobbers or floats work well for northern pike. Live shiners, chubs and suckers will all work well under a bobber. You can have a lot of success fishing with these baits around shallow water weeds in the 3 to 8 foot range.
Fish Deeper with Slip Bobbers
When you need to get down deeper with your live baits, try using a slip bobber. Northern pike can often be found suspended over deeper water and a slip bobber rig and lively minnow is a great way to get them to bite.
