Crappie
There are crappie in Mille Lacs Lake and some anglers do run into some very nice fish, however, crappie are definitely secondary on this lake. Don’t expect to find bunches of them each time out, but if you are fishing with smaller minnows or jigs, you will have a better chance to run into some of these fish. The weeds will usually hold some crappie if you want to go try and catch some.

Yellow Perch
There are very good numbers of perch in the lake and some nice numbers of eater-sized perch as well. Most anglers come here to fish for walleye and they will catch some nice perch on accident, but you definitely can come here to target perch and expect to catch good numbers of fish with some eaters mixed in.
