Bream or Sunfish (Bluegill, Redear, Pumpkinseed, etc.)
Many of the lakes in this area will have bluegill and other sunfish available to catch. You may have to sort through several smaller fish to find the bigger fish on many of the lakes. On some of the lakes, you’re going to find more rock bass or other types of panfish as well.

Crappie
There are plenty of crappie lakes in the Marcell, Minnesota area. Many of the hard-core anglers will fish this area for walleye and northern pike, but there are plenty of people that target crappie on the area lakes. Some of the popular lakes that anglers fish for crappie are North Star Lake, Sand Lake, Spider Lake, Fox Lake, Jack the Horse Lake and Bowstring Lake.

Yellow Perch
Perch fishing is popular in the Marcell, Minnesota area. Most anglers will catch perch while targeting walleye, but if you want to actually target perch, you should be able to catch plenty of perch in the area lakes. Some of the popular lakes for targeting perch in this area are Bowstring Lake, Sand Lake and Spider Lake.
