Bream or Sunfish (Bluegill, Redear, Pumpkinseed, etc.)
Lake Nipissing does have some sunfish available. Rock bass and other sunfish are here and you will usually find these fish in the shallower bays with some weeds and rocks. These fish do go deep as well, so you may find some schools in deeper water. Most anglers don’t come here to target these fish, but if you use live worms, you will get some action from the sunfish.

Yellow Perch
There are good numbers of perch in Lake Nipissing and you have a lot of water to target them. In the spring, it will be the easiest time to catch them as they can be found in shallower water in the bays near vegetation. In summer and fall, it’s a little harder to find the better quality fish as they go deeper, but there are still plenty of places to find these fish around the weeds and rocks. Deeper weed lines usually produce some good fish throughout the summer and into the fall. Big schools of these fish will roam out in deeper water on the main lake in the summer and fall.
