Casting Spoons
The smaller casting spoons will trigger many strikes from crappie. You can fish these shallow or deep. Try swimming these spoons over brush piles, on weed edges or in deeper water over schools of bait fish.
Jigging Spoons
Jigging spoons are one of the more effective ways to target crappie in deeper water. Vertically jig them over schools of crappie and you should be able to catch good numbers of crappie with some bigger crappie mixed in. These baits are one of the better big fish baits when the crappie are deep.
