The towns of Sayner and Star Lake are very small, but there are several lakes right here in this area. Muskie are available in many of the better lakes in this area. Plum Lake, Star Lake and Big Muskellunge Lake are the bigger lakes in this area with some quality muskie fishing. Don’t rule out the smaller lakes here either, but the larger lakes will give you more opportunities for quality fish if you put in the time.
Ballard Lake

Big Muskellunge Lake

Lake Laura

Partridge Lake
Partridge Lake is a 235 acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of 19 feet. Fish include muskie, walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and panfish.
