Turtle Chain of Lakes


The Turtle Lake Chain, located in the town of Winchester, Wisconsin, consists of three connected lakes—North Turtle, South Turtle, and Rock Lake. These scenic waters offer solid multi-species fishing in a relaxed Northwoods setting. Anglers target northern pike, muskie, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and a variety of panfish.

North Turtle Lake


North Turtle Lake spans 359 acres and reaches a depth of 58 feet. North Turtle Lake (map) is known for good numbers of muskie, walleye, and panfish, with northern pike and both bass species also present.


Rock Lake


Rock Lake is a 120-acre lake with a depth of 18 feet. Rock Lake (map) features abundant largemouth bass along with common panfish and walleye. Muskie and northern pike are also present.


South Turtle Lake


South Turtle Lake is the largest of the three, covering 466 acres with a max depth of 40 feet. South Turtle Lake (map) provides consistent fishing for muskie, walleye, and panfish, along with solid populations of pike and both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
