Island Lake is a 865 acre lake located in Vilas County.  It has a maximum depth of 35 feet and the water is moderately clear.  Fish include muskie, panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye.  According to the DNR, all fish species listed above are considered common in the lake except for largemouth bass and smallmouth bass, which are listed as present.
