Headwaters Lake / Fellsmere Reservoir
Fellsmere Reservoir, also known as Headwaters Lake or Lake Egan, is a new fishing lake that was created by the state of Florida to help create a world class bass fishing lake. It is a fairly new lake, but it has quickly become one of the hottest bass fishing lakes in the country.
The lake is home to an unbelievable amount of productive-looking spots to fish. There is some flooded timber, but most of the cover you will be fishing will be vegetation. After the lake was created and flooded, it was stocked with around 1,000,000 Florida bass. While the lake does receive a lot of fishing pressure, it’s an unbelievable fishing lake.

Stick Marsh / Farm 13
Stick Marsh / Farm 13 has been one of the best big bass lakes in the state of Florida. Nearby, Headwaters Lake has been getting most of the attention lately, however, anglers can still head on over to Stick Marsh to catch some really nice bass. This impoundment covers around 6,500 acres with water in the 4 to 8 foot range. Anglers need to be aware of all the submerged and floating timber in the lake. You need to exercise caution when navigating the lake due to all the wood.

Lake Garcia
Lake Garcia (Ansin Garcia) is located near Headwaters and Stick Marsh, but it is a smaller reservoir that is known for its excellent numbers of smaller bass. Anglers also target bluegill, other sunfish and crappie in the lake. Lake Garcia covers around 3,150 acres of the Blue Cypress Water Management Area. It is a shallow lake that ranges from 1.5 to 6 feet deep and the water levels due fluctuate seasonally. Be careful navigating this lake while you learn the area waters. If you’re looking for action, it is a very good bass fishing lake and some very large bass are caught here as well, but you will not see the numbers of big bass like you do on nearby Stick Marsh / Farm 13 and Headwaters Lake.
