The fishing is very good for striped bass on Pickwick Lake. Most people target stripers below the dam, however, you can catch striped bass throughout the lake as well. Current and deeper water are usually the 2 main things you need to focus on when targeting stripers. Some anglers cast net shad and use live bait to catch them. Drifting below the dam with live bait can be very effective. These lakes have good numbers of striped bass with a lot of good-sized fish to be caught. It’s not known as a big time trophy destination for striped bass, but some big ones are here, just not in huge numbers.
