Flounder are prized for their taste and are popular targets around Panama City Beach, especially in fall. These ambush predators lie flat on the bottom and strike passing prey with speed. They are found inshore near passes, sandy flats, and bridges, and are also targeted nearshore around wrecks and reefs.
