Deer Point Lake is a freshwater lake that has a dam to separate it from the inshore waters of Panama City Beach, Florida. In Deer Point Lake, anglers fish for sunfish and largemouth bass primarily. Spring, early summer and fall tend to be the most productive months to target these species of fish. There are some large bass caught out of here, but you’re going to find a lot more 2 to 3 pounders than 5 pound plus fish here. Bass over 10 pounds have been reported here, but there aren’t a lot of them.
