Lake Barkley has smallmouth bass available, however, there is a larger population of smallmouth bass in Kentucky Lake. There are plenty of deeper, rocky areas on Kentucky Lake, which is why there are more smallmouth bass in Kentucky Lake than in Lake Barkley. Most anglers will not specifically target smallmouth bass on Lake Barkley, but you shouldn’t be surprised if you catch some smallmouth.
