Welcome to our Kissimmee, FL Fishing Home Page

Kissimmee, Florida is located about 20 miles south of Orlando.  With its close proximity to Orlando and Disney World, it’s not hard to wonder why so many people come here to visit.  While most people come to Kissimmee to stay, they actually end up spending most of their time at the theme parks of Disney World and the other attractions in Orlando.

As far as Kissimmee, there are plenty of lakes to enjoy and some of the best bass fishing in central Florida is right here on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes.  This chain of lakes consists of 20 lakes that range from 200 acres to 44,000 acres.  Some of the top lakes to fish on this chain are Lake Kissimmee, West and East Lake Toho, Lake Hatchineha and Lake Cypress.  Bass fishing is excellent on the chain with lots of 3 to 5 pound fish and many over 10 pounds.

Primary Species of Fish

Largemouth Bass

The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes is where anglers visit to catch the bass of a lifetime.  For some, it will be bass in the 7 to 8 pound range and for some anglers, bass up to and above 10 pounds will be caught.  It is one of the better big bass destinations in the entire country.

Secondary Species of Fish

Crappie, Bream (Bluegill & other similar Sunfish) & Catfish

The Kissimmee Chain of Lakes are known for bass fishing, but they also have good fishing for a variety of panfish too.  Crappie (called specks down here) and bream are available in good numbers with lots of big fish too.  Bream are just a variety of different sunfish that are similar to bluegill.  Pumpkinseed and shell cracker are a couple examples of the different types of bream you will find in the area lakes.  Catfish are here too, however, most anglers do not target them.
