Inshore Fishing

Fort Lauderdale is definitely known more as an offshore destination, but there is some good inshore fishing available as well.  Port Everglades is the main channel from the Atlantic Ocean into the Intracoastal Waters that create the inshore fishery here.  There are many canals in this area, which can provide some very good fishing for snook, tarpon and other fish during certain times of the year.  The bridges can also provide some good fishing, especially as you get closer to the inlet.
