Lake Superior is home to King salmon and on most years, there is some good fishing for them in the waters here. There are several charters who fish for them in the summer and fall. There is also a Thunder Bay Salmon Association that helps with the stocking of salmon here.
Best Baits for Salmon
Salmon will eat a variety of baits. Many anglers use artificial lures while they troll for salmon. Anglers do use live baits as well, but artificial lures such as soft plastics, hard baits and flies are more popular.
