The walleye fishing is very good on Lake Nipigon. Many anglers come here to fish the spring and fall when they can find walleye in the shallower water closer to the shorelines. It’s a good numbers lake with plenty of big fish too. If you end up coming here during the middle of the summer, plan on fishing the offshore structure and you will need a quality boat because when the winds pick up, it can get dangerous in a hurry.

Black Bay
Black Bay is a warm water fishery that offers good fishing for walleye, northern pike, perch and smallmouth bass. The water in this bay is relatively shallow with islands, reefs and plenty of weed beds. Anglers do well in the bay from spring through fall and the ice fishing can be very good here for perch. At the south end of the bay, anglers target cold water species of fish such as Chinook salmon and lake trout.
Black Sturgeon Lake
This lake is located just south of Lake Nipigon. Anglers can fish for walleye, pike, perch and smallmouth bass.
Elizabeth Lake
Elizabeth Lake is a good walleye lake. It is a popular lake for ice fishing as well.
Frazer Lake
This is another good lake for walleye and there is access by Frazer Lake Rd.
Lofquist Lake
You have road access from Cameron Falls Rd. This lake is stocked with Nipigon strain brook trout, walleye, splake and burbot.
Oskawe Lake
This lake has a gravel road access and boat launch. Anglers target walleye and pike here.
