Rossman (Erickson) Lake has a tendency to partially winter kill during some winters. Algae blooms and low water clarity often make mid-summer angling difficult. Fish populations are similar to many other winter kill lakes in Minnesota. This lake typically has high populations of bullhead to go along with northern pike and bluegill. Other fish include crappie, largemouth bass and perch.
