Black drum are heavy-bodied bottom feeders common in the inshore and nearshore waters around Destin. These fish can grow to 30+ pounds and are often caught around structure using natural bait. Juvenile black drum are found in bays and estuaries, while larger fish patrol bridges, jetties, and deep channels.
