Lake Lanier is a popular reservoir located in the northern part of Georgia.  This lake is very popular for boating and fishing with millions of visitors that come here every year.  You will find plenty of hotels to go along with a couple of resorts along the lake.  Marinas are plentiful to help with your boating needs and there are plenty of places to fish on the lake.

Lake Lanier is known for its excellent bass fishery.  From largemouth bass to spotted bass and even striped bass, you have a lot of options here.  Depending on what lures you choose to fish with, you may end up catching all 3 species of fish on any given day here.  The bass fishing is what most people come here for, however, you can also catch some catfish, walleye, bluegill and panfish.



West Point Lake

West Point Lake is a large reservoir located on the border of Alabama and Georgia.  The lake covers 26,000 acres and it is a popular recreational lake.  Fishing is very popular on the lake.  Anglers target many species of fish including largemouth bass, striped bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and other sunfish.



Lake Seminole

Lake Seminole is a large reservoir that is located in the southwest corner of Georgia along its border with Florida and it is maintained by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  The Chattahoochee and Flint rivers join in the lake and then they eventually flow through the Jim Woodruff Lock and Dam, which then starts the Apalachicola River.  This is a popular fishing lake for people living in Georgia and Florida.  Lake Seminole is stocked regularly with striped bass and sunshine bass, so many anglers come here to fish for the stripers.  Anglers can also fish for crappie, largemouth bass, sunfish and more.
